Season One

It's the season finale of Glee tonight.

I think you know how much this season has meant to me.

Lots.
and lots.
and lots.
and lots.
and lots.
and lots.
and lots.
and lots.

I mean, we're talking the top three things a girl named Amy living in North Carolina with cats could want.

1. eye candy
Hello boys. Yes, I will sing a duet with you. Right now, although I don't love the tenors, I am obsessing over Chris Colfer's voice. Amazing. And Kevin McHale is all yours, Rach McF. You're welcome. Not that I have any power or ability to give him away, but in this fantasy land--aka Mostly Nonsense--I am omnipotent. The ladies are gorgeous too! It's a win-win for anyone viewing. At least, in my opinion.

2. ear candy
Who thought of the mash-up? Brilliant I tell you, brilliant.

3. ridiculousness

Yes, that just happened.

Today, our give-away is a $15 iTunes gift card! I mean, I'd spend it on some Glee music, but you know, I'm trying to release control, so you can just get whatever music you want.

I'd recommend some Glee songs.

I'm just sayin' it again.

Just leave a quick comment on your favorite song.
Something you sing in the shower or the first song you look for when you go to karaoke. The song you crank and jam out to in your car. Your favorite song.

Then go sing it.

  1. I've been singing Siyahamba around the house all the time recently when I haven't been rocking to the Mumsford and Son's Sigh No More. But just One song? That is hard...

  2. Agreed, so many songs.

I admit I like a lot of corny ones I can tie to memories or other sentiment.

Also it's very mood dependent, fun mood should play a fun song, etc.

Anyways, Cannonball is one I enjoy.

  3. I have found that there are different songs for different times in my life. Right now things are out of my control and have been extremely difficult and tenuous. So... for now the song I cannot live without is Patty Griffin... Heavenly Day. It lifts my soul and makes me feel like I can breathe again.

  4. Thanks for giving me my personal nerd hottie! Yeah!

My favorite song is "For the Longest Time" by Billy Joel. It's been my favorite song for years. Like, since I was 8 or 9.

But also, recently I have been digging on "Oh What a Night" by Bob Gaudio. Jersey Boys just really got to me and now I will listen to the soundtrack multiple multiple times in a row. It's like musical crack.

  5. I absolutely LOVE to sing "We Danced Anyway" at karaoke. I love the story it tells - it's like my dream romance. :) And I because I didn't get to sing it the last time I was karaokeing (the guy at Charlie's in Durham had it, but his CD was scratched...boo!), I am in desperate need of singing it....I think I know what I'm going to do right now. :)

  6. oh my goodness, theses are good ones. I love patty griffin... but I admit to kickin' it with James Taylor because he helps me remember that not everyone hates everyone. "B.S.U.R.(S.U.C.S.I.M.I.M.)" from 1979's Flag album is currently stuck in my brain. Oh, I also love singing songs that mess with gender like Whitetown's "Your Woman."

  7. "Free and Easy" by Dierks Bentley is probably my favorite right now.

  8. For obvious reasons, I love "Brown Eyed Girl" (at least to belt out in the car/shower/etc.). But I think it would probably be a tie between "Piano Man" and "Free Falling" for most belt...able song. (Is beltable a word?)

Happy one year anniversary on your blog!!!

  9. Hmm....I usually sing whatever comes to mind which can vary by many degrees. And I have been listening to the new Glee album obsessively so I would probably say my new fav right now is a toss-up between "Poker Face" and "One Less Bell to Answer" I love them both.
