the cat nail

OK, here goes nothing on my first [and possibly only] post showing you how I do what I did to my nails. You may remember the last manicure I posted? Well, a "SHOW ME HOW YOU DID THAT NONSENSE!" was requested and I live to fulfill requests and avoid studying.

Perhaps more of the latter than the former.

First, I'm going to show you my polish collection. It's grown a bit since I first talked about it...

Uh...yeah.

Those are nail pallets so I can see what all I've got on hand. I don't see this as a problem.

The polishes for today:

3. black and white polish, I use a cheap-o black [just for accents and dots, but I use it ALL THE TIME] and OPI Alpine Snow for my white.
4. Kiss nail stripers, you can grab these at Target or Walmart.
Not pictured: You'll need a dotting tool. You could use a toothpick or a pencil, but I use an embossing tool similar to this one. It's cheap at Hobby Lobby [grab a 40% off coupon] and you can find it in the paper craft area.
**I'm not endorsing any of these products, find what works for you and your budget!**

Let's get this show on the road. Before we start I always trim and file and clean my nails. We all know my nails are super short for non-poking massages. Yours don't have to be this short unless you're a polish addicted massage therapist too. Let's be friends if you are, ok?

The other thing I've mentioned before is that my nails are messy when I paint them. Because of the way I file my nails, the skin comes up around the end and there's going to be polish there. No worries, it comes off with a light scrubbing in the shower.

I'm sorry, there are going to be a bajillion pictures.

Halfway there?

You see the brush-stroke lines? That's why I love top coat, it takes those away and no one will ever know [unless you take pictures and point them out].

I'd link to the original, but the link from pinterest is broken. BOO. Idea cred to that person, though.
Hope this was helpful, Haley! (-:

love you people.
